A few tips to start off:

  1. Always start at HITS that pay atleast .50.  Anything less then that is going to be a waste of time.
  2. Click on the Description of the task.  Sometimes the Requester will say the job will take less then 2 minutes.  The Time Allotted can be misleading.
  3. When you find a HIT you want to do, open "View a HIT in this group" in a new tab/window.  If you don't, when you get done with that task, the HIT list will have gone back to listing HITS that pay nothing.

  1. I have been using Mturk for a few years now and tend to go in fits and starts depending on a few things.

Have you ever noticed that a bunch of the HITS will glitch out right after you finish entering your info but just before you can claim the payout?

  2. Luckily thats never happened to me. The worst has been deceptive descriptions. Saying they are short surveys, but then ending up making me rage quit on their length.

  3. This is good info. I tend to 20 cent ones if they're simple though like "which app design do you prefer", and things of that nature.
